WHO ARE WE
We met at our Gateway congregation in Hockley, Texas, and what started as a casual chat turned into a place where everyone can connect and study God’s Word. Who knew talking about the divine could be so much fun! Our goal is to grow in the knowledge of His Word so that we can advance His Kingdom, and maybe earn a few points in heaven too! (just kidding)
And of course, we love spending time together, not only talking about the Word, but also drinking coffee and discussing the gym and workouts. Because, let's be honest, we need some cardio after all that coffee!
MAYRA BARAHONA
I was born in Honduras and moved to the United States at the age of 18, a change that marked the beginning of a new chapter in my life. In 2013, I came to the feet of Christ, thanks to the prayers of my mother, who was a spiritual guide, a great motivation and taught us to live according to the statutes of God.
I am a proud wife and mother of four children: three wonderful sons and a beautiful daughter who fill my days with joy and purpose.
My greatest passion is teaching God's Word and serving others, believing that true transformation comes from sharing His love and truth. Every step of my life is guided by a deep desire to grow spiritually, impact others, and be faithful to the calling God has placed on my heart.
ESTEPHANIE RAMIREZ
I came to the United States at the age of 6, raised in New York and born in the Dominican Republic. I am a mother of four and have been a wife to one for over 10 years. I was exposed to God from birth, but it wasn't until I was 17 that I realized the world held nothing that could truly fulfill me. It was then that the Lord opened my heart and I decided to give my life to Him completely. Since then, I have dedicated my life to serving God in various areas, but my greatest joy comes from leading the congregation through worship.
Not long ago, I discovered a zeal and desire within me for His Word and to present it according to what Scripture teaches. Our growth and everything we do is dependent on God and will always be aligned with His Word.
